List Symbols that have resonance for you. What do they represent for you? from 'Dark Mirror: The Inner Work of Witchcraft' by Yvonne Aburrow
One of the first sets of signs and symbols I related to were animals.

Cardinals: Grandmother
Blue Jay: Grandfather
Heron: Big transformation on the way. Pay attention.
Crow/Raven: The Morrigan, Family
Wolf: Maiden
Bear: Mother
Owl: Crone
Dogs: Hecate
Lion: Strength, Sekhmet
Cow: Hathor
Dragonfly: Spirit Guides
Stag: God
Betta Fish: Treasure, Evolution
Then I became more familiar with crystals. These are some of the top ones I work with regularly.

Amethyst: Spirit connection, peace, crown chakra
Labradorite: Psychic skills
Citrine: Joy, solar plexus chakra
Carnelian: Creativity, sacral chakra
Sodalite: Communication, throat chakra
Angelite: Spirit connection with guides
Fluorite: Mental focus
Selenite: Cleansing and charging
Bloodstone: Aries, vitality, health
Clear Quartz: Amplifier
Malachite: Luck (mine has lines that look like a four leaf clover)
As I have practiced, I also identify with these written symbols.

Earth Sign: Earth element, I remember it by thinking of an arrow pointing down and the line is like the ground because there is still matter under the land's surface.
Triple Moon: Maiden, Mother, Crone
Air Sign: Air Element, Air is pointing above and the line could be clouds over a mountain...or the split between land and sky.
Triple Spiral: Life, Death, Rebirth
Pentacle: Protection
Hecate's Wheel: Fate, Labyrinth
Fire Sign: Fire Element, the basic triangle looks like a campfire to me
Horned God Symbol: Horned God energy
Water Sign: Water element, the upside down triangle is like a goblet, cone that water can be held in.
I am sure I will encounter many other infinite correspondences! These are the main ones that got me started on my path. I will be covering others related to specific aspects of witchcraft and divination in future posts!
What are some of the symbols you resonate and what meaning to they hold for you?
